Mosli

Mosli - موصلي

4 pieces of chicken (whatever pieces you like best)
2 onions (cut into big chunks) + 1/2 onion finely chopped to garnish
1 potato (peeled and cut into big chunks)
Head of garlic (peeled and crushed)
1/2 tablespoon turmeric
1/2 tablespoon salt
1/2 tablespoon black pepper
1 tomato
3 spicy green peppers
Veggie oil for frying
Small bunch of parsley chopped to garnish
Lemon

Put chicken, onions, potato, garlic, turmeric, salt, and pepper in a large cooking pot.

Cover with water plus about an inch and boil for an hour.

In the mean time cut a slit in the green peppers and season with a pinch of salt.  Fry in oil until the skin is blistered.  Remove from oil and add to cooked chicken and peppers.  Quarter tomatoes and fry until soft.  Add to the pot.

Garnish with raw chopped onion, parsley, and lemon.  Serve with a crusty baguette.

This is a super low maintenance dish.  Just dump everything in a pot and let it go.  The chicken comes out super tender and the sauce is really yummy to scoop up with the baguette.
