Mama's Goulash

Mama's Goulash

1 pound beef, cubed
1 tablespoon flour
2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon pepper
1 can crushed tomatoes
1/2 red onion, chopped
1 cup sour cream
1 package egg noodles

1.  Coat beef in flour and throw in your slow cooker.
2.  Dump in salt, pepper, tomatoes, and onion.
3.  Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
4.  In the last 20 minutes stir in the sour cream.
5.  Serve over egg noodles.

NOTE: You can also add carrots or bell peppers at the same time you put in the onions.

This is comfort food!  My mom would set up the crock pot on Saturday night and then we'd come home from church on Sunday to this yummy dish.

It's not very photogenic (hence, no picture) but it sure is yummy!  The long cooking time means that no matter the quality of your meat it comes out nice and tender.  The sour cream adds a fantastic creaminess.
